Hair Loss Seems To Have Stopped At Last?

Hey Guys,

About 5 months ago I posted in the "Success Stories" portion of this forum because I had been on finasteride and didn't have any side effects (which I wanted people to know) and because my hair loss seemed to be slowing up big time. However, a week or two after that post I had a shed from hell...my hairline got much much worse very quickly. The trick is that it only got worse where the hair was already thinning, behind that, everything seems to have gotten thicker or at the very least stayed the same. Now, just over 6 months on, my hair loss seems to have stopped, although certainly nothing has come back in the hairline. I'm just wondering, how can you really tell when hair loss has stabilized. I'm completely open to getting a hair transplant, and actually would like to as a matter of fact, but I'd like to make sure that I'm not being delusional and that my hair loss has actually slowed down significantly. I just have no idea how to tell since it seems to come in sheds.

IMO you should consider both your age (the older, the more chances your hair loss has stabilized if you don't see it worse for some months) and your family history. For instance, my father is NW7, so I had to wait to be 32 to be sure my loss had finally stabilized...
