Hi All ,
I have a strange issue .
I never had any hair fall nor I have family history of losing hair , however I started loosing clumps of hair after I came to san antonio. The water here is not suiting me , I tried various ways like taking shower with distilled water, adding filter to my shower but nothing worked . I tried prp treatment as well even it did not show results.
Please let me know how can I over come this and if any one has faced this situation .

No, I don't think anyone faced your same situation.
It is indeed possible that in some areas faucet water (Tap water) has more limestone than in other areas. Yet you are mixing it with distilled water (bottled water would be sufficient). So the cause for your hair loss should be looked for somewhere else. The stress of moving to San Antonio and Genetics are two good candidates.

When I was living in NYC my hairdresser was Brazilian. I would always moan to her about my hair loss and she was adamant there is something in the water that accelerates it. She claimed she knew many Brazilian guys who had moved to the city and all of a sudden male pattern baldness set in and their hair thinned out. I honestly never thought much of it but your post reminded me of that. If you are losing clumps of hair all of a sudden it could be something more serious. Maybe you should see a Doctor or endo and do a blood panel.

I don't think water can cause hair loss it may cause dry hair but male pattern baldness is genetic.
I think anxiety accelerates hair loss, and that what happened to the brazilians, moving to a new country woth a different culture and different language could be stressfull at the begining.

Maybe im stupid, but wouldnt your facial hair and body hair die off if they didnt get the proper nutrients exactly like head hair? Body hair and head hair operate almost the same except one shrinks from androgens and the other grows. Both seem like they would require all the same nutrients like from water/diet.
If your not losing any facial hair or body hair and your male id say 99.5 percent of the time its flat out male pattern baldness. If only filtering our water could grow back hair. Problem solved pretty easy
I used to work with a guy that said his family had zero male pattern baldness anywhere in it, and he was straight up Norwood 7 by like 40. Family history doesnt guarantee anything its just a best guess you can still go bald out of nowhere. Pretty rare, but nature keeps us on our toes.

Unlikely to be related to the water unfortunately. Are you able to post pictures?
