I started experiencing some hairloss around 4 months ago that has got progressively worse, it is not male pattern baldness (not on crown, no receeding hairline, doesnt run in my family AT ALL). It was in the sides of my head, in the temple area, and on the top of my scalp.
I shaved my head a couple days ago and relized it looks like there is white blotches all over my scalp where it appears-- hair is either not growing, or is growing relatively slow or the hairs are smaller. What could these white blotches be that are causing my hairloss? p.s., there is no itching on these blotches, they are not inflamed from what I can see and, they are the size and shape of about 3/4's of a pencil eraser. Also, I have not shaved my head w/o a guard before (so idunno if this is just how my scalp looks) but was always short, typically between 1/4-3/4 of an inch.
