I have been suffering from hair loss for a long time. I went to meet with several hair transplant doctors, all of whom are highly respected. One of them was ready to do the surgery while the other said that he wanted to do a biopsy before proceeding because he said I had an irregular hair loss pattern.
Have any of you been asked to do this? I'm not sure if I should. I've been seeing dermatologists for years for my hair loss and none of them found a problem, and the other doctor didn't think there was an issue either. Doing the biopsy would push my surgery back about nine months due to scheduling issues.
