Folks-

I'm a Norwood 1.9 and currently using Rogaine 5% to attempt the restoration of the hairline (I'm also on Propecia). What are your thoughts about adding Tricomin or Am Crew Revitilize Spray to the front? Do you think it's worth the extra effort and money?

Thanks.

I think it would be wise to add Folligen lotion to the hairline. It is inexpensive and if used just on the hairline it would last a long time. Also, use Nizoral and T/Sal 3 x weekly and use H & S on your non-nizoral & T/Sal days. This is just my personal recommendation. This also depends on how long you've been on your current regimen.

Good luck.

Thanks for your feedback Temples. I think I will add Folligen.

By the way, I'm already using Nizoral 2%. If you get a chance, take a look at my pictures and let me know your thoughts about using Rogaine and Folligen on the hairline. Do you'll think it'll make a difference?

The Traveler I have had a look at your pictures, and think you could even been a 1.94 - 1.96, that's an estimate though.

Let's all be honest here, from your pictures I can see it's unlikely that you will ever have a full head of hair again, it's not that you are bald or anything (obviously) but things are looking pretty bad, the best you can hope for is maintenance (sorry to break this news to you!).

I think you should stick to the Propecia, Rogaine and add Nizoral, Proxiphen, tricomin, avaodart, folligen, nano, T/Gel, T/sal and possibly RKI9, even then you may have to face the fact that it has gone too far.

I hope you don't mind I have posted a couple of your pictures so that everyone can see the terrible damage DHT has brought to your scalp. I am guessing from your photos you are in your mid-late 50's (?)

This below is really what your hairline should look like, (as I am sure you know!)

That looks like a normal hairline to me Traveler. I think your over thinking about your or no hair loss you have. If your looking for a hairline that tynanW posted then your looking not for a man hairline but for a women's hairline. Which I don' think your a woman so your in good shape.

hello Time Traveler.

Good god man!! if that is really you in those pictures it would appear that your god has forsaken you, you have been cast down amongst the swine. From the tone of your post I can see you are a pretty decent fellow who does not deserve to be crippled as the allmightly has seen fit to do so, such a wicked punishment! to take a man's hair so readily, and with both hands.

I can only guess you have been sacked, rejected from you social grouping or thrown out of your tribe (you did not say where you were from) for sucumbing to the curse of late stage hairloss, but remember it is not your fault you wear the 'hat of shame' try not to let people mock you and always remember a man's true norwood is in his head.

Be blessed

Tynan-

Why the sarcasm?

I know I that don't have the hair loss of some of the folks in here, but I'll post some high-res pictures - my hairline looks worse than what the pictures depict. By the way, the hairline you show in your touch up I used to have when I was in jr. high school (age 13), haha.

Besides, I'm also thining on top, so c'mon don't give me sh*t.

Just having fun with you.

I never had your new 'bald' hair ever!

I can't see why you would consider using propecia and minoxidil, but like you say the photos may be doing you a disservice (three S's?).

How did you arrive at Norwood 1.9?

Do you have a micrometer?

My GAWD! Your hairline rocks and you've got nice, thick hair. You know how many people would KILL for your hair?

Sheesh, screw everything else and just use Head & Shoulders. Unless these high-rez photos look REALLY different, you have nothing to worry about.

I believe it was Cassin who had a Norwood 1.5 for the longest time and then over a matter of months he went to a Norwood 3. I have a feeling I'm on the same route, hence the paranoia in my part. What doesn't help is that I've had four people (3 family members and a friend) say that I'm either balding or thinning. Even if if the receding is minor, it's pretty disturbing to hear this from people.

If you want maintenance, you need and antiandrogen. minoxidil will only buy you some time while the balding process continues.

In my experience, Tricomin and Folligen don't do dick and I've been surfing these hair loss sites for over 6 years now.

I would consider either Finasteride and Nizoral or Fluridil. If you really need regrowth, then add in minoxidil with a little Retin-a. Save your money and forget Tricomin and Folligen.

Just my opinion.
