Hair Jokes...why now?

Hey guys, something's been bothering me lately. When I was a younger man, (my early 20s) I would get hair jokes at me from every angle: relatives, "friends", co-workers, it was just a matter of life. Then when I got in my 30's and had lost all my hair, all the jokes stopped....literally years have gone by and I have not heard one single hair joke. Since November, I've been trying hard to grow some hair back and now, over the last 3 weeks I have heard no less than 5 hair jokes. (You shouldn't stress yourself out so much about work, you're gonna lose the rest of your hair) HaHa..last time I heard that one, it was 15 years ago. What gives?? What...is it considered "rude" to joke about hairloss to a guy that is literally "bald", but now since I look like I'm "balding" it's ok...I'm fair game again? That's rude. If I see some huge mother that I know is losing weight munching out on a salad during lunch, I don't say. "Hey, what's up, no Super Size Fries today?" Due to the late stage of my hair loss, I will never-ever be considered NOT to have a hair loss problem..if I have to put up with these comments for the rest of my days...I may have to let it all fall out again...depressed. :(

NO! Who cares what they say! You are an inspiration to most opf these guys on the board. If you can grow back that much hair, it gives a lot of us hope. A lot of young guys just starting to lose their hair and feeling depressed can be inspired by you. They actually see that the Big 3 works and it gives them hope. Those results you have are spectacular.

If you have results this good in 4 months, i can't wait to see the 1 year results.

very sorry to hear those jokes, i too have become depressed over all of this. for example, watching a basketball game with my friend and i comment on how i like some player and the only thing he can say in response is yeah but oh man he is balding. the worst of all though is im 18 and i become visibly upset and instead of my parents being supportive they call me a screw up and try sending me to therapy. if only they knew......

Sometimes I don't understand the way people think, I mean if you're looking at a sports match what difference does it make if one of the players is balding.
I've had comments about balding, but I don't care anymore what they think, I've become immune to it, it's something that becomes less hurtfull with time. There's more things in life than your hair so don't get to down about it.

P.s f***'em

I find your situation sadly ironic. And I'd be pissed, myself. I'm an old guy, and in reality, at the end of every so-called rainbow, I've found, awaits irony. I actually think it has to do with God's sense of humor. The only way around it, as I see it, is to finely hone your own sense of humor, learn to laugh at yourself. Then you and God will be on the same level and nothing can phase you. :D Good luck, man.

Some people can be so tactless man i swear i remember this dude i was kool with in school had a habit of reminding me of my thinning hairline and one day i shaved my head to about 1/6 of an inch long and he said "wow u shaved it huh, guess its just gonna all fall out anyways".Fuk man i almost lost it i wanted to pummel him so bad but i knew if i did it would get around school that im going crazy because of my hairloss so i just shook it off.Besides i knew he was probaly insecure himself beause he was receding too.3 yrs after we graduated HS i saw him in the street and man did he loose his hair bigtime i said to myself holycrap! lol ,well well well look who's balding now of course i didnt comment on it..

I think there is some sort of new hair loss awareness as it is, and new jokes as well. Like that Geiko commercial, where the doctor is standing next to a balding guy in a chair, and says "See this bald head? Well, I have some good news! Although we don't have a cure to baldness, I saved money on my car insurrance", blah blah blah. Then there's the one where the balding guy steps up to the mirror and shaves his head with an electric. Forgot what that one was about. Point is, there's a new look toward hair loss on the horizon in general I think.

Sorry you had to be the target, though. People are so shallow some times.
