Hair genes inheritance

I don't know if anyone can answer this, but i have the following question:
You inherit your hair genes only from one side of the family(lets' say, father) or you can get a mix from both parts??
For example, let's say :
-my father and his brother have a good amount of hair at 60-65(only little crown problems)
-my mother's brother also has very good hair at 55,
-my mother's father has some extended baldness, but he is 80 and began to lose his hair only after 65.
So it seems there are problematic genes only from the mother's side of family, and at late ages.
But, the father and his brother have a V-shaped hairline, but that is from childhood, not due to balding, and in the other part of the family(mother side), there are straight and low hairlines.
I have also a V-shaped hairline(different from my brother, who has a straight hairline), is it possible that i inherit only the hair genes from the father's side? And consequently, i will not have major problems with hair all my life?

long story short

you inherit genes from both your mother and fathers side

you could follow in either of the two genetic hair loss patterns
