Hey everyone...what is proven to help with the loss of density in an area? I still have hair there but I can see, possibly, that it might not be there for long. Just trying to be proactive physically and mentally.

Thanks!!

try massaging the area. See if your hand becomes a bit greasy.

describe where it's at.

The area I am concerned is the upper right side towards the back area. I think I may have a cowlick there but not sure. If I brush my hair up there on the upper fridge (I think that's what it is called), I can see that there's scalp showing up easier there compared to the other side. I have another question: do bald spots in the crown just appear and grow out or can it like "outline" the area and then like "swallow" that hair up in there & make a huge bald spot?

Thanks!

That's no male pattern baldness - that's for sure. You should check with a dermatologists.

Or maybe perhaps if you can show pictures, others on here might be able to help you.

You may have a double crown which sometimes thins one side more than the other.

Not probably the best photos but if you look at this page, especially the top photo on the right hand side.

Also, does anyone know, generally. on bald spots in the back, do they usually evolve going out or do they like kind of surround an area and just swallow it up...thanks guys for your comments, I greatly appreciate it.

At 45++ years old, many men do lose hair and seems to be associated with low levels of testestosterone and sedentary lifestyle.

But balding guys would kill to get your hair. haha.
Just keep an active life with my best wishes.

Thanks man, I appreciate your comments and all my best to you also. So if you were in my shoes, don't even think of starting finasteride or rogaine, right?

nope. Years from now, low levels of testosterone will make it a bit more difficult for you to engaged an active life but you just to try harder.

Freakout...I actually did as you said, massaging, and it was abit greasy, no hair falling out, but I actually got my haircut today (don't know why I always dread these things, all in my mind) but I asked the stylist, what do you think...he said it's nothing but just a split, you can't have hair straight and full all over your head, you need to have some parts and he said that is what is going on. As far as my crown/whorl, he said it's fine and actually the crazy thing kind of rises up and swirls...but anyways, I guess I need to believe him because I would think he would know but you know, sometimes you become your own worst enemy and think that you know better. Thanks again for input everyone and God bless everyone all in everything.
