I dont know what it is but my hair always feels thicker after a haircut. I get it short on the sides and about 1.5inches on the top. I dont know if the bottom shaft of the hair is thicker than the top protion of it or what.... Anyone else notice this after haircuts??

It's an illusion. When your thicker hair is shorter, it seems the same thin-ness as the hair on top....

Either that... OR you're having real progress... CONGRATS.

Mine LOOKS thicker when I get it cut shorter. I have noticed that my hair looks/feels thinner when it grows about a month after a haircut and than starts to look thicker again if I havent had it cut for about 3/4 months. So yeah it will look and even feel a little thicker with a short cut. Its healthier also I believe.

hair is in a slight cone type shape (think of a triangle), so when it is cut short the ends are thicker than they used to be.

usually my hair looks better after haircuts, but i still get scared to go get my haircut and always put it off as long as i can. Im just always afraid of what it might look like

Not me my hair usually looks like sh*t after a short haircut and worse with long hair but at least the long hair covers the thin spots. I now have a simple rule when I get my haircut, do not touch the top, just shave the back and sides, so in that case, yea it does seem thickerer. :freaked:

Your temples that are totally ROCKIN!!! I wouldn't be afraid of going short with those progress pics you showed.

ya i think it tends to clump togather and makes it seem thinner or it can part easier and show more scalp than wanted
