Hair count and male pattern baldness

I normally find 2-5 hairs on my pillow when I wake up and I normally can pull 1-3 of them in the shower.
Perhaps this is because I just finished an Accutane course for acne, where my hair temporarily thinned a bit and now is thickening up again.
Should I start doing something about it or how many hairs should I be losing to start worrying about male pattern baldness?

counting hairs may not be an accurate depiction of your situation. i'd focus on the scalp itself (inflammation, thinning in the crown/vertex, psoriasis, dandruff, etc.).

What to worry about, and what NOT to worry about:

Shed hairs on the pillow - Don't worry
Sudden increase in shed volume - Don't worry
"I seem to be shedding MORE than 100 hairs a day!?!" - Don't worry
My shedding won't stop! - Don't worry

My hair is visibly thinning in areas that are indicative of a Norwood-like pattern - WORRY

dude, two to five hairs on the pillow is nothing. If you're really beginning to see hair loss, it will be more than that.
