Dr. Paul Rose
- His office was a little disorganised which kind of startled me. doctor didnt know where paperwork was, his help couldnt do much other than panic.
I started off telling him what I wanted. "my hair back"
he looked at me and said "95%" of my patients would do anything for the hair that YOU have.
that immediattly made me feel better.
I told him what i was doing and we talked about my family history etc..
He told me that there is a small percentage of people who inintally have a negative effect on propeica. he said I could be one of them if i suddenly noticed hair loss increase.
but he told me not to worry TOO much because it'll eventually slow it down.
I asked him if the hair I lost will come back, he said that it could.. but his response didnt sound too promising.
Then i asked him if there is anything else i could do to help. he said he could give me several hundered grafts but he doenst think it's necessary at this point in the game, and i should wait another 6 months before doing anything drastic.
he told me to get on rogaine and explained that while drug companys only use the vertex during their trails,.. that inedeed both propecia and rogaine benefit the hair line.. only problem is that the hair line is MOST sensative and hardest to control.
this was the first out of 5 doctors that i've seen thus far that actauly got out of his/her chair to look at my hair.
he checked donor area, did a few 'tug pull' tests and looked over my hair line.
he said I have moderate hair loss and he's seen a lot worse.. i guess some people could just tug on their hair and get 5 hairs every time... mine isnt that bad yet.
my overall opinion of him is great. He's an honest Doctor who seems to love his work.
he could have told me he could make me 100% but he was more realistic.
if i ever get to the point where i know for SURE i'm getting a hair transplant he'll be the Doctor i go to.
