gyno side question

Hey guys,
I've succumb to the gyno paranoia that floats around these boards. i've noticed a tenderness in my chest area since i started finasteride (i'm only on .25 or .3mg btw). its a real dull ache with tenderness and ive noticed the puffy nipple thing every once in a while...my nipples don't hurt or anything. my chest doesnt look any different, but im definitely feeling tender there. whats the best approach? see a Doctor and get an estrogen level test? is it possible to get the chest tenderness which is not followed by full-on gyno? will stopping propecia, if gyno is forming, result in the drop of estrogen levels and eventually the dissapearance of gyno? i need to go in to get some blood tests anyway. i'll be interested to see my DHT levels at .25/.3mg of finasteride. thanks in advance for any replies.

Gyno

I've also succumbed to the gyno paranoa. I've been on dutasteride for 3 weeks now (.5mg 3 times a week). The last week or so I've noticed a heartburn/dull thobbing like feeling on my left breast. If someone is experiencing gyno (onset or otherwise), can it be restricted just to one side (i.e. one breast)? My symptoms are completely isolated to my left side, which makes me think the symptoms could possibly be heart-related (heartburn, stress/tension, whatever). Considering the FDA studies for Avodart cited only .5% of takers experiencing gynocomastia in months 0-6, I'd like to think I'm in the 99.5% that has no problems in this timeframe (especially since I'm only taking it 3 X a week vs. 7 X a week in the studies!)

Has anyone else experienced these symptoms only on one side? Does gyno by definition have to affect BOTH breasts? I'm hoping my symptoms are just psychological sides associated with starting a drug that has had its side effects hyped up.

Also... side question: Have any dutasteride takers noticed weight gain soon after starting the drug? I've gone up about 5 pounds (not a ton, I admit) in weight despite maintaining a regular exercise routine and diet.

zeus, I am on finasteride for little less then 4 weeks, and I am experiencing mild pain on my left breast too ( or funny feeling I should say). I am not sure, if it’s psychological or not because to be honest, I have start getting this pain after reading the symptoms of gyno. But it could be very much real and I am worried about getting gyno from finasteride, that’s the last think I want in my already stressful life :x
