Gynae and propecia

Hi guys, this is my first post .

I am 22 years old and from the UK. I plucked up the courage to consume 0.5mg of propecia in February. Other than some weak erections and watery semen it was going well for a while. However i began to feel my breasts becoming more sensitive and the nipples became more enlarged. I quickly went off propecia and it has gone down but there is still some residual growth. I am willing to take propecia again. Is there any way to stop the side effects of gynae ? Cheers

I would rather go bald in a day then have gyno. Unfortunately many men get both regardless of taking finasteride.

Did you by any chance have gyno during puberty? Trying to see if there is a connection.

Hi mate. Yeah i would rather be bald and have a decent body. I have always had a little bit of gynaecomastia since puberty. It hasn't really bothered me as it didn't look bad when wearing polo tops etc.

Ok. Gyno during puberty is from the increase in testosterone that converts to estrogen. I didn't get any gyno during puberty. This could be an indicator for men worried about taking finasteride. On finasteride your t and e are going to go up.

So what do you reckon i can do ? Go for surgery and then try propecia. Or will there still be growth of the glands after ?

I think you're supposed to stop taking finasteride or consult with your doctor if you notice any changes to your moobs while taking finasteride. I would recommend quitting finasteride. Stay away from alcohol and soy and anything else that is known to increase estrogen. I cant recommend surgery. Do you have photos of your ta tas we can see ;) ?

No homo.
