Hey guys!

I'm a 22 yo who needs some suggestions. I usually have my hair cut short (1/2") and squared off in the front (sharp angles at the temples, straight hairline). But early last year 2006 my right temple started to recede and my hairline started to rise a few cms. I noticed this because a slight widow's peak was beginning to form. Well I've been using Tricomin shampoo and 5% Minoxidil ever since then, and while those two have pretty much halted further recession, they haven't given me enough regrowth.

Nowadays I just cut my hair a little further back to maintain the "box" look. A few years ago when I was 20, the cut was much closer to the center of my face, and I want that back. My hairline was maybe half an inch lower, and my right temple area fuller. I have no hairloss anywhere else on my head.

Anyway, I just wanted some feedback from any guys out there who cut their hair the same way as me. Any suggestions? Do you think I should jump on the Propecia bandwagon? I'd rather do something about it while I can than sit and wait for it to get worse. Thanks guys!!

Add propecia and Nizoral, don't add any other JUNK,again propecia can grow back some hair and also in combination with Nizoral and Rogaine, you should get some decent results... but you will never get your hairline when you were 20,if you get fullness back and bit of the hairline be thankful that you stopped the recession, remember rogaine is for life so is propecia if you stop taking them you will lose all gains and whatever you may have lost while using it will be lost also within about 6 months, keep up the good work,my only suggestion Nizoral 2 % shampoo and proscar 1/4th of a tab or propecia (Proscar is cheaper).

Good luck,
Rich

Thanks man!

I just ordered the Fincar pills, and I'll switch to a regimen similar to yours once they come. I really hope this works for me. Even though my hairline has stayed relatively the same since I've started Minoxidil last year, I really just want to bring it down as much as possible.

some pretty rudimentary advice here but if its only the hairline that youre worried about and youve got short hair spironolactone would be pretty quick and painless to apply.

Well sad to say almost everything on a hairloss board is rudimentary,we all know about the big 3,the rest are unproven,I myself would like a better hairline,it's acceptable but could use even more,I will look into the spironolactone myself, you're referring to the topical spironolactone correct, hopefully no gyno :) I was also trying to set realistic goals for him with hairloss it's more of a matter of maintaining rather than regrowing everything back,I was in his position few years back, now I'm 30 and I look like I have okay hair for a 30 year old, before I felt I was 24 going bald.. it looked bad in my eyes I wanted it all back, now I'm happy to maintain and don't look like I'm going bald or really losing it... whichever route he choses, adding Nizoral will be a great idea regardless... if he choses spironolactone or Proscar/Propecia.

Regards,
Rich
