Guys Who Say They Can't Wear Longer Hair Out Of Social Pressure

I've seen a good share of guys here saying they wear their hair systems short because they have to. They say they live and work in conservative settings where it's not really an option to wear it with some length.

What's the back story on that, if that's the position you're in, what's your line of work? What would happen if you did have a longer style?

I'm just purely curious. It's generally said that it's easier to make longer hairstyles look realistic with wigs. Less maintenance, can hide your hairline/temples if you're having front problems.

I wear my hair something like this:

Not rocker long, but not army short either. I live in a very liberal area and am in the creative industry and thus don't do the traditional 9 -5 so having to go short out of necessity is a bit foreign to me. Plus I wear business like clothes often and can make it look clean cut.

But yea, I'm just curious. Are some of you guys in the military or do a lot of physical work or something?

I would love to have hair like Chris Hemsworth, real or otherwise, but I am in one of the traditional professions (not a "creative" one) and working for a Japanese company, which is a very traditional conformist work environment. I can't think of a single soul in my company who has hair that length. Even the girls have short back 'n' sides (jk).
