Hi Guys, great site full of great support.
I am almost 36 yrs old, despite the fact that my father was a Norwood 6 before age 30...... I have always had a full thick head of hair.
About a year ago, my hairline has started to change, while my crown is still thick, I am concerned I am at a Norwood 2 or 3 in the front. Is there anything I can do to stop this? or is my dad's genes catching up with me? Thanks

norwood 1 serious. not even close by the wildest stretch of the imagination to a nw3. Do you look like this? no http://www.hairsite.com/hair-loss/img/uploaded/71306_image56.jpg If you have male pattern baldness starting finasteride 1mg or 1.25mg will stop your hairloss 90% of the time for a few years or longer

ZZZZZ...what level is that gentleman at?
Whatever level that man is at, he has more hair than my father, or grandfather had by the time they were 30.
I know hair can come from either side... but seriously, Patrick Stewart and Kojack have more hair than my dad or grandpa.

You're a Norwood 2 at WORST. Suck it up big guy, you're 10 years older than me, and have way more hair. Go see a derm that specializes in hair loss if you're that worried, but to me it just looks like a typical NW2 mature hairline. You're gonna be just fine.

He's 36 with a near full head of hair. Who gives a f*ck. He lived through the best years of his life with hair.

Yeah, he's 36 and as more hair than 95% of the people registered for this forum, but that doesn't mean he can't still be concerned about losing his hair, sir. Every morning I am reminded of the harsh realities of my hair loss when I wake up and look in the mirror. My older brother has all his hair, my father didn't start balding until his 50's, and yet I, the youngest man in my immediate family have nearly as much frontal loss as my father who's more than twice my age. It isn't fair in the least that I have to take all these meds that could potentially harm my long term health, but I do it anyway because complaining and blaming people that have more hair isn't going to solve my problem. Every time I see an older man with a full head of hair, I die a little bit inside...but it's not his fault. Life isn't fair, it never has been fair, and it will never be fair so we are just gonna have to play the hand the best we can with the cards that were dealt to us, even if it is seven/deuce off-suit.

Thanks for the replies guys.... I think the fact that I have always had that Jordan Knight/Chris Hemsworth/Eddie Munster pronounced widows peak is why I may be thinking this looks worse than it does.
