Growing it Back

Once you have obtained the level of hair re-growth with Propecia and Xandrox could you stop taking propecia and just continue with the xandrox maintenance apps? If not why ?

Dr. Lee has a good looking head of hair and he only uses Xandrox 5% once a day to maintain it. Most of us started to late and need to grow back hair. If we used a topical DHT inhibitor back before it started we would never have had a problem. Fact is most guys start when it is a bit to late. I was in denial like many and waited til it was highly visible before I did something.

I think when you start is important if the products are going to work for that person, but i think for some people things might just not work no matter when they start. (knocking on lots of wood). If that's the case you still may just lose all your hair even if you had the slightest bit of hairloss to begin with.

Redbone, i know dr.Lee would tell you there would be no need to continue the propecia, just use the xandrox but i'm not sure if thats true or not.I for one am not going to take proscar after the 1 year mark i'll just continue the xandrox maybe spironolactone at night.

I dont see why it would be necessary if have the hair and just want to maintain the gain. Lee does it whith one application of Xandrox a day. Maybe HairLossTalk.com or Bruce can shed some lite on the subject.

The only thing that would worry me about that is that Xandrox cannot possible protect your entire head against DHT, horny layer or not. So I'd be concerned about areas that have not started to thin yet, but may be at future risk.

True he does but he takes a larger does. I am not worried about the effects of Propecia its the daily regime and cost that I would like to phase out. Of course if we can keep our hair with doing as little as possbible it is a huge advantage. Someon should invent a product that is sprayed all over the head that is convenient to use. Crinogen smells bad and is very sticky.
