I am a 20 years old, soon 21. People started noticing my hairloss at 18. At first I thought that this couldnt be true.
Loosing hair at 18!!?? wtf . But then 1 year later I saw myself in the mirror, and I could clearly see my scalp on the top of my head. But I convinced myslef that it was impossible to loose this early. So here I am, 20 years old and balding as hell.
I am mainly thinning on the crown and the front part of my head. My hairline is still good, but I have noticing it receeding the last 6-7 months. I dont mind getting bald, but this is just waaaay to early. I wouldnt care if I was 30 or something. But at this rate I will be totally bald before I reach 25.
I started searching the internet for answers and ended up here. I started reading and have come to a conclusion that finasteride is the only thing that really helps. I went to a doctor and asked him if he could write me a prescription. The doctor had actually never heard about this drug, but he looked it up and said that I clearly knew alot about this, and he wouldnt have any problem writing me a prescription. But when I got to the pharmacy, they said that I had to see some kind of skin doctor(dermatologist I think). But since I was moving to a new town because of school, I thought f*** that. I found a internet pharmacy and ordered proscar.
Now Im in my first month on 1.25 mg finasterid(1/4 proscar) havent seen any changes. Maybe a little shed but I dont know. I guess its just my imagination. Im gonna try proscar for 6 months before I try minoxidil. I just hope this sh*t works because if it doesn't I will just shave my whole head and wait for hair cloning of something.
I still have a full head of hair, and its just my closest and a few others that have commented my hairloss.
I will try to post pictures and keep you updated on my progress(hopefully)
