I'll try to keep this short! I'm 23 and my hairline has been receding gradually for about 3 years. I still have all my hair on my crown. Since about mid-march I have been using revivogen daily (at night, just around my hairline) and Nizoral twice weekly. Last year I tried Rogaine for a couple of months, but it made my scalp very dry so I stopped using it.

Below are two photos of my hairline (as close to the same angle and lighting as possible). The one of the left was taken April 2 2006, and the one on the right was taken May 20 2006. The one on the left was taken on the same day I got my hair cut, and the one on the right was taken a few days after a hair cut.

I am also not using very much revivogen at all. Since I only apply around the front of my hair, I am still on my first bottle (almost 3 months in)... so it's not turning out too expensive.

What do you guys think?[/img]

I think you should try Propecia and get back on Rogaine

I think you should try Propecia too. It's rare to get the sides and if it doesn't work, then you'll just be out of the money. Of course it is a lot of money, but depending on your insurance and money situation, it may not be that bad. Of course if it is, there's alway's generics.

greedknot- you hair has deginately improved. Thats awseome results for just over 1 months. Conitnue with the rev and nizoral, and as the guys have already stated look into propecia. Goodluck and keep us posted

Those look like excellent results to me. Hair looks thicker, fuller, and from the looks of it there might be some regrowth?

I thought about a finasteride + Revivogen regimen. Can you offer any thoughts on the application of Revivogen, any annoyances, etc.? When do you apply it?

I might be able to help there since I'm using finasteride + Revivogen.
Revivogen has a very erm, organic, smell. You get used to it I guess...at least it smells natural as can be.
I apply it after my shower each night when the hair is dry - about 3-4 hours before bedtime.
It can stain your pillow case like crazy so maybe use a darker colour pillow case or something where you won't mind if it loses it's glamorous appeal. lol

I'm having excellent results with my regimen. Hair's getting better every day.....but everyone's different of course.

Mmm... not too keen on propecia (yes, yes I know I'm meant to stick to proven treatments first). Thinking of going back on the rogaine, but might stick to my current regime and see what happens... speaking of which, it has been exactly 3 months today since I started revivogen/nizoral, and here are the results:

I actually don't think there is any regrowth happening, but my existing hair seems to have definitely thickened.... though it is a bit hard to tell because I haven't had my hair cut for just over a month... Anyway, if I don't see any regrowth in the next couple of months, I'll start using rogaine on the temples and see what happens...

As for the applying revivogen... well... as Chadman said, it smells 'organic', though 'terrible' may be a more appropriate description. It does stain quite badly and you really need to put it on a couple of hours before going to bed...

Then again, it doesn't sting like minoxidil and doesn't seem to make my scalp as dry and flaky as minoxidil did... but back when I tried minoxidil I didn't use Nizoral...so maybe it's the Nizoral that's keeping my scalp fairly healthy these days... hmm.

Thoughts anyone?

Check your policy. Many don't cover anything considered cosmetic. I have a PPO with Blue Cross Blue Shield and they don't cover it.

Continues to look like great results as far as I'm concerned. The difference between May and your most recent photo is fairly dramatic as well given the short timeframe.

Yes, I agree... it's hard to see how shorter hair would make the June photo look as thin as the April photo.

I'd say you've definitely thickened up hugely. Revivogen looks like it's definitely working for you!
