When applying Xandorx 5% I find it to be rather greasy. How do you style your hair after application? It stays wet for about 30 minutes or more. I need to got to work and can't wait that long- I need my existing hair to cover up the thin area's but it doesnt when it is damp with Xandrox.

Lewenberg's stuff was tops for convenience just spray it on like hairspray and leave the house.

At this point in time I rub it in temples and all then comb it across till it dries. It takes like 30 minutes before my hair is dry enough to be full again. Any tips?

same problem here, my minoxidil (rogaine non-generic) seems to take 1.5 hours to dry and I have pretty short hair, is there any way to spead up the drying process?

If I am on minoxidil for say... another 5 years (that's hoping something else/better comes along) thats gonna mean....

1.5 hours drying time x 2 applications a day = 3 hours
3 hours x 365 days a year = 1095 hours
1095 hours x 5 (years) = 5475 hours
5475 hours divided by 24 = 228.125 days!

that's 228.125 days with a damp greasy waiting to dry scalp, and these are 24 hours days! obviously you can't go to bed with a wet greasy head so factoring in that these '24 hour days' must be spread across waking hours that is 342.1875 16 hour days!

that's :freaked2: nearly :freaked2: a :freaked2: freaking :freaked2: year

:freak: aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!

:freak: aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh!

Not sure what to tell you about the xandrox, but if you are using the rogaine or generic and you don't like the greasy factor, use dr lee's minoxidil. I just started my regimen, and have fair skin. I thought for sure I woul have problems wit the minx, but not one. Also, Lees formula uses Vitamin E and less Propecia glycol, which means it dries much faster. Believe me I was paranoid about styling, but im blown away how easy it is. I apply it, it takes about 5-10 mins max to dry. As long as you get the formula in the scalp and not the hair you'll be good. If i can get this done, you can

Yeah, the stuff I was using took 10 minutes to completely dry. So this is a bit of a change.

rogaine shouldn't take 1.5 hours to drive. It should take max 30 minutes.. ESPECIALLY with short hair. Maybe your using more then 1mL. If so try to cut down to 1mL. try applying it better to the scalp rather then having a lot on your hair, by parting our hair in areas. Other then that the only thing I could recommend maybe.... is to take off the minoxidil that is ON YOUR HAIR and NOT ON YOUR SCALP by putting your fingers in between your hair a lil away from the root and squeeze slightly and go up to the tip of your hair... you should have a bunch off of the minoxidil that was on your hair on your fingers now.. and just wash it off, dry your hands and repeat a few times. you should have most of the minoxidil that was just sitting on your hair off of your hair. Figuring that minoxidil that was on your hair wouldn't have done much since it's not on your scalp anyway.

I have the same problem wiht ROGAINE...sh*t takes forever. i try damn hard to just get it right on the scalp..but it seems wet forever...

I have noticed when I am a bit more patient, it goes on thinner and dries quicker...

God I'm glad I work construction. Put the crap in my hair in the morning... drive to work... and an hour and a half later when i get to work, put on my hat and i'm ready to go. Get home, take a shower... put the stuff back in, and bam.

You can always skip an application every now and again in the event you need to go out... it won't hurt you.

I dont have a problem with original Rogaine or Dr. Lees for drying time but Kirkland seems to take ages to dry.

Bomb, Dr. Lee says that his PPG free formula is greasier than the PPG formula. Lewenberg's New Formula was PPG free and dried in like 5 minutes when sprayed on.

Do you find the PPG free you use to be greasy?

He says some find it greasier, some find it less greasy...

In my case it is MUCH less greasy than the standard rogaine I used before I went PPG Free.

Bomb have you tries his other products like Xandrox? They both containe only 30% PPG as opposed to 50% Rogaine. Lewenbergs stuff was PPG free and dried in like 5 minutes, put that was when sprayed on in a fine mist.

I still dont see how lewenjew's formula can work when you spray it on your hair instead of scalp.

It would seem that almost none would be able to make it to the scalp and plus you'd have so much wasted minoxidil/retin-a soaked into your hair which cant be good for it.
