Got my first shippment of minoxidil

I have just received my first shipment of minoxidil off ebay. It is Kirkland 5%. I thought I would start with this as it is fairly cheap and is generally well regarded. My thinning is getting bad. I am 29. I am also receding. I am kinda scared to take the minoxidil but I guess if I don't I am just not doing anything about the problem. I have to take it on the temples and the middle of the head. It has thinned out in the middle right from the front. Any advice on how to take it and any words of encouragement.
