After my last piece by Lord got ruined, I wanted an immediate replacement and so ordered an inexpensive system, UTS system from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074W7Q9XW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I haven't attached it yet, but so far UTS seems very nice, insofar as it truly hugs your head. (I can totally see how Got2B would work well with this base type; even if it rains the UTS base isn't porous so the water-soluble adhesive won't be affected).

Question: With Lord, I've gotten the S7, whose density is medium-light, ideal for me.

This new product says its density is 100%. I don't know if it's the hair length or quality, but this hair feels decidedly softer than what I've had in the past. Since it hasn't been cut yet and is 6 inches long as a result, I can't see the base looking down from the top, but I'm sure that will change after the hair is cut. I am, in effect, concerned the density on this piece is too light.

"100% less medium" is how it's described. Does anyone know what Lord's Medium-Light density in number form: 100, 110, 120%?

On the topic of the piece's not being porous, it does of course feel hotter than lace.

Surprisingly impressive hairline came w this thing: graduated, contoured

I must say, the product looks decent and the reviews on Amazon - I mean if they can be trusted - appear good. Some noise about the base being too shiny, but apparently the vendor does a less shiny base (so why sell a shiny one?!).

With these online places, once you're happy with the product itself, the real magic is in the cut and styling so make sure you find a good stylist who can work with hair pieces.

And personally, I reckon UTS is so much better than lace so I think you'll find it easier to maintain and more comfortable.

I never tried that trick of using dry shampoo to conceal a shiny base … I will try it though because my UTS is 8 months old now and the hairline skin is showing more and is shiny somewhat.

At the hairline, the poly extends beyond the hairline and is too shiny. If I keep it, which I don't think I will, I'll cut that off.

The way the thin skin adheres to the head is stunning - like a suction cup, but I'm worried it'll be too hot...

Also, the unit is is extremely heavy. I'm assuming that's because it's uncut and 6 inches all around.

Or is that a sign of bad thin skin? Shiny and heavy!

Ya it is too shiny. But that's probably where I ought to cut off the excess.

Are skin systems generally entirely translucent?

I like the piece but it's extraordinarily heavy. I don't know if that's due to the base or the length of the uncut, 6 inch hair.

I also find the hair to be limp. I think it lacks as well as density (100 percent)
