Good time to start dutasteride? Dosage?

Been taking finasteride for a year, seeing little to no improvement (combined with minoxidil 7%)
Thinking about jumping on dutasteride - anything I should get checked prior to changing to dutasteride and what would be the optimal dosage?

Also, just wondering on what some good generic dutasteride is?
I know of 3 or so different kinds, but unsure which I should go with, suggestions would be appreciated.

Ill be monitoring this as well- im 10 months into finasteride and my crown has improved but hoping for more help on hairline (also using minoxidil)
