I emailed MDF advanced and they reckon the new formula should be on the market and available to UK consumers within the next 2-3 months.

Will be putting myself down for a year's go at it. If that don't work nothing will - Dutas, Min and flut in a cream! Love it!

What formula? Can you clarify your post please.

almost $1000 a year....I guess if you want to take 5mg of dutasteride of day, it might be a competative price, but still, I agree, interesting but damn expensive.

urghhh $1000 a year.

It seems to have all the correct stuff in it, so i suppose it prob will work, unlike A&G serum etc etc etc etc, the list goes on.

i won't use Medium density fibreboard, i'll stick with softwood (or hardwood when i'm with your mum :hump: )

Spencer Kobren on bald truth says steer clear and i'll agree with him
maybe if they had any clinical trial proving topical dutasteride is effective (alongside the other anti androgens it has)
and i have never seen any proof that lots of minoxidil is any better than a little, i have actually come across a study that suggests that (in vitro) that too much minoxidil will actually retard hair growth so i'll stick with 5% and finasteride atm

Never realised topical flutamide was systemic. Haven't heard anything about that.

Am considering making up a home brew of topical DHT inhibitors, maybe also adding copper peptides in for good luck. What do you need, basically an alcohol base? Can you do it without alcohol?
Can you do it just by crushing up tablets (using a mortar and pettle) and mixing them in with alcohol?

I wonder if I could crush the tablets (spironolactone, Flutamide, dutasteride) up in alcohol, then do a filtration to filter out all of the binders, leaving only a nice liquid.
Anyone have any experience with this?
I also wonder about adding the liquid product into a store-bought shampoo for ease of use.

Good God...as often as I've been talking about that likelihood over the years on hairloss sites, and this is the first time you've ever heard of it?? :)

Take a look at the graph below from the recent Chen et al study. Even though the flutamide was applied topically to the right side ONLY of hamsters, the left side was affected exactly the same. I know that humans aren't hamsters, but after seeing this graph, would you really want to take any chance at all by using some potentially dangerous (systemic) topical flutamide??

(BTW, note that topical finasteride went systemic in this test, too!)

I'm already on flutamide 2% topical - don't have any side effects!

They are doing some work on the delivery system for the mdf advanced which is due to be completed soon. I will be trialling it for a year, one easy solution applied topically has got to be better than applying 2 topicals - min and flut and taking dutas orally even if it costs a bit more than all 3 combined!
