Going Through My First Noticeable Shed Ever. Will The Hair Come Back?

Hey guys,

I've been lurking around this forum for a few weeks now and finally decided to start an account.
I just turned 23 years old and it seems as if in just a few weeks my hair went from THICK to diffused and thinning.
I am losing around 60 hairs+ in the shower everyday, my hairline is still intact but I can now see through it and need to use toppik everyday to feel comfortable, it looks like the hair is diffusing across the entire front going about 1/4 back into my scalp.

These past few weeks have been so hard for me. I feel like I'm just waiting for matters to get WAY worse. I just recieved Zinc sulfate, and Pyridoxal 5 Phosphate needed to mix together some Zix, which i've heard could possibly slow down the loss a little bit and will begin using twice a day (anyone who has personal experience with Zix please chime in). I also started using Nizoral, and while it feels like it "cleans" my scalp of all of the sebum etc. idk if its actually helping my loss, or even making it worse.

My main question is since i'm going through my first real shed (most of the hairs falling out have decent density, though some are miniaturized) does this mean that if I start some sort of treatment I will have a fighting chance for that hair to grow back in it's natural pattern ~2-3 months from now at its original thickness?

Basically, If I catch this sh*t early and hop on treatment, could I grow back my hairline as if it we're just a natural shed? The treatment I have in mind is generic finasteride .5mg/day or proscar split into .625mg

I'm using Zix and my hair is already looking better after a week (just a cosmetic boost I know) but my hairloss is too aggressive to stop completely I just hope it slows it down, I'm 19 and this shits completely depressing, hopefully by the time I'm your age Tsuji is out and I can have that done.

Start now and you'll most likely regain that lost hair, worst case scenario you maintain what you have with finasteride. The clock is ticking.

That is a reassuring thought, thank you. I am quite nervous about the side effects of finasteride and thus I have been apprehensive. My choices are I face this hairloss and let it go, or face the potential sides.

I had blood tests taken a few weeks ago, all of my levels are within the normal range except for vitamin d which I started supplementing, testosterone is at ~730 ng/l so pretty good. Also i am naturally thin and do not gain weight easily which would lead me to believe I have low estrogen levels. My libido is HIGH right now, it's honestly a nuance as I can't even stick to a nofap regimine which I figured could help reduce my production of DHT at least by a little bit

Do most people who get horrible libido loss from finasteride naturally have low libido? or could it make even mine tank? I'm also curious about the baseline bloodtests for these individuals, and if they had low levels of test to begin with etc.

Which recipe are you using? also how do you apply yours because I notice the particles settle fast and clog up the dropper.

Just a regular eye dropper, and just regular Zix not super Zix since I've seen less success stories on that.
