I used saw palmetto for about 4 years for treating my enlarged prostate and lazy bladder. After reading that finasteride 1% is used for hair growth and also for trearing enlarged prostate I decided not to take the saw palmetto and use finasteride to treat both. After about 80 days my bladder is very enlarged and I am having major difficulty urinating. I will stop the finasteride today and go back to 450 mg whole herb saw palmetto to treat my baldder. I feel I have no other choice. The finasteride 1% didnt do anything to help me urinate and I dont want to lose my only kidney to infection. I really wished it was going to work out.
