Does anyone here use Gingko Biloba in their regimen ?

It supposedly helps maintain libido whilst taking Finasteride,
but I'm considering dropping it from my regimen. As I'm not
convinced it's worthwhile, and it's expensive.

Anyone have any experience of Gingko ?

Baldy what brand of Ginko are you using? I have bought from http://www.puritan.com 480 tablets x 3 (Buy 1, Get 2 Free)
for $50.
That's around 1500 tablets which can last you for around 2 years!

XL - Thanks.

HairFreak,
I live in the UK, and everything is sooo expensive here.
120 x 60mg Gingko is £23 (froma high street shop).
I don’t mind paying, and I guess I could find cheaper on the net if I tried, but I’m kinda trying to decide whether GB is worthwhile first. Also I’m trying to reduce the number of pills I pop everyday.

How long u been taking GB ?
Do you take it to help with libido ?

I have just started taking it so I don't really know what the effects will be. However, its cheap and good for you, so I figure why not.
Just get some off the Internet, its way cheaper. Check out Puritan's website.
http://www.puritantv.com has 70% off everything, but not as big selection as http://www.puritan.com

Ginko biloba was included as part of Avacor's complete DHT blocker pill, which included horsetail, ginseng, saw palmetto (The leading ingredient), and green tree leaf. I can't read anything special about horsetail, but now I take ginko and ginseng (included in Centrum multi), saw palmetto, and grape seed to substitute green tree leaf which in my opinion, is a weaker anti-oxidant. All these help with stopping free radical onslaught, and the saw palmetto has a very good effect for the prostate and blocking DHT from androgen receptors.

I have used gb, for the last 6 months . I read on http://www.hairloss-research.org that you should take 140mg a day. Supposedly it helps with blood flow. And may be a mild DHT blocker. I combined it with SP,Green tea, GLA and it did seem to signifincatly slow down my hairloss.

How much

I just bought some Nature's Own Ginkgo Biloba.

Each tablet contains 2000mg of Ginkgo Biloba extract.

They recommend 3 tablets per day. Is that too much?

I am thinking of taking one tablet morning and night

This is what I got

I don't like Natures Own's products... for some reason I feel they don't really work :)

i thought ginkgo biloba just help blood in the brain or something. Supposed to help with memory and mental clarity. I dont think it does anything significant for skin. I used to take it back in high school. Didn't really help much.

If you're taking Ginkgo make sure it's a quality supplement which will contain:

Ginkgoflavoglycosides ......24% min
Terpene Lactones...............6% min

If it's quality brand it will have that percentage detail on the label. Jarrow and Country Life are the best brands in my experience--for most supplements not just Ginkgo.
