Getting your hair messed up

Hey all,

The other night I was out with some friends and one of them jokingly put me in a headlock and messed up my hair real good... She didn't know about how I'm wrestling with hair loss and I hid my reaction well, but man it freaked me out...I was totally in a cold sweat!
I know its stupid and I need to relax, but can some of you just ease my mind that no real damage was done? I know if you get your hair pulled out at the roots sometimes they won't grow back, but she didn't like yank my hair or anything, just vigorously ruffled it back and forth for a few (excruciatingly long) seconds. Thanks!

I was in a club. Had a friends fiance, insist on trying to muss up my hair, I don't know if she sensed a combover or what, but she kept trying it and I was stuck ducking and dodging. Granted,when I first started losing I had my hairdresser cut my hair a certain way, but I didn't know what it really looked like until I saw a picture. I swear to god, it looked like I had a black Nike hat on backwards, it was bizarre, I was making my hair look worse than it actually was at the time, but I was young and didn't know any better. This friend of mine has one of the thickest mops around and he's 10 yrs. older than me.

yes you're paranoid. someone would really have to pull hard on a hair to pull it out, assuming it wasn't about to fall out anyway. when you run your hands through your hair and hairs fall out, those are shed hairs. that girl would have had to yanked so hard that you would have felt her pulling the hair(s) out. If she just ruffled through it then no damage was done.

It's one of my favorite RPG's... I hope they will remake Xenogears and FF7 some day, that will probabily happen before HM comes out lol

so many little secrets in that game, I played it 6-7 times.

I fed that pinky stupid chu chu all the drives, she actually does more damage than any of the gears.

Yeah this soughta thing happens alot in sport, when someone scores a goal or does something real good, all the boys on the team run over and rub there hair really vigoriously! I hate that! I would freak out if they came over and did it to me id lose 200+ hairs if someone did that to me. I think guys on the team are aware of this and they try extra hard to loose up more hair.

I did the same thing with chu-chu!! lol I also played that game many times. Do you remember that website "xenogears god and mind" that has all the weird trivia in that game (all the name references, relationships to psychology etc)? I was the one that submitted like 90% of that info to the site!

Yeah I hear ya; I guess it really can't be that damaging though, if all those guys with full heads of hair do this to each other constantly with no ill effects. I'll try to look on the bright side and just try to think that my scalp got some free massaging...
