Getting off minoxidil

Hi, I am 25 and started losing hair at 19. I didn't do anything until I was 23 when I went on Propecia. Despite a pretty good loss in both the front and back, I have regrown almost all of my hair. I still have a small thin spot in the back, but this is going away now that I have started using Tricomin and minoxidil in the last 2 months. Within 6 months I expect to show virtually no signs of thinness because of how well I have responded to treatment. My question is, what happens if i go off minoxidil after I have regrown hair in my thin spot? Will I lose this hair or will propecia maintain and Tricomin maintain it? I have never suffered a shed from propecia or minoxidil, so I think this is in my favor.

Please respond if you have been in the same situation. Thanks.

You'll lose it. Hair regrown with minoxidil will become "minoxidil dependent".

NO!

Dude, do not go off the minoxidil. I was in a similar situation, 24 years old, minoxidil and propecia for 4 years, and I stopped the minoxidil. I have thinned considerably in back and my hairline has receded for the 1st time. DO NOT STOP!
