Getting off minoxidil while still on finasteride

Has anyone done this?

I get minoxidil face bloating and bags under my eyes. I've only been on finasteride about 6 or 7 months, so I still want to continue minoxidil for a while, but I want to eventually get off minoxidil. Will I lose a lot of hair doing this?

From what I read minoxidil hairs are dependent on minoxidil.
