Hi guys!

I have been on Propecia for about a year now, and it seems like there`s a lot of acnes developing on my forehead. I have never had any trouble with this before. There`s quite a lot of them acctualy. I have adjusted my propecia to every other day, but nothing seems to work. In addition to this it also seems that the propecia isnt working for me. The last months I have had severe hair loss. It might also be an result from bad diet and stress, but I`m now considering to stop the whole propecia regime, but the thing is....and this I really need help to decide, and hopefully some of you can give me some good advice! I`m now considering an hairtransplant. Not big, but about 2000 hairs (yes, thats what they are talking about in scandinavia), but if the propecia doesnt work....can i do it, or am I completely scre..d now? That there is no hope? I`m now turning 28, so I`m still young but I can see a clear pattern in my thinning hair. Diffuse thinning all over the top....

Can anybody give some really good advice? I would be most gratefull!!!:)

Is there any other drugs that can do the same help as Propecia?

I would strongly recommend trying to halt your hairloss first before getting a transplant. What else have you tried other than finasteride?

Have you tried a low dose of dutasteride? Say, .25mg? Some people have reported they had sides with finasteride, but not with dutasteride. Might be worth a shot.

Many thanks so far, guys!:) I really do appreciate it!!:)

I have only tried to take one tablet every other day. This I have tried over last couple of weeks, but it doesnt seem to halt the hair loss. Before I used to take one every day, but it didnt have ther greatest effect. I also have an bad itch in my scalp. In addition to this I have usedthis shampoo which everyone is recomending, but I feel that it dries out my scalp. I am now using it only once a week. I the beginning I also used rogain, and I think that this acctualy works, but the thing is that in my situation its hard to have the time to use it.

The thing is that ever since I first got aware of my hair loss I have had a bad diet. Maybe one week I used to eat lots of chocolat and unhealthy food, and the other week I could it really healthy food. This giving the body no regular "income". I am now turning my whole diet over to healthy all the way, since this is something I really believe in. I`m taking away all the gluten-food that I can find...

And also, if I am gonna go through with an hair transplant, then it is an FUE, so that I dont have to many scars to be afraid of.

Do you know if RU is availble all over the world? Is this the same as finasteride, but antoher brand?

It's a research chemical, and not approved for use anywhere in the world.

finasteride has a short half-life, but I feel like taking a pill every other day wouldn't really reduce that amount of DHT blocking that's in your system. You might try going to .5mg every day, or even .25mg. People have reported at least a drastic slowing of loss on as low as .1mg...but personally I don't know how that's possible.
