Generic Minoxidil

I'm thinking of starting using minoxidil but wondered if the generic, cheaper stuff, was as effective as the branded regaine? It would be a third of the price for twice the amount of product, so, in monetary terms, makes sense. But is it as effective in the 5% variety?

Yes. Minoxidil 5% (Rite Aid, Wal-Mart, Cosco, Price Club, Kirkland, substitute any brand name here) and Rogaine 5% are equally effective.

So shop around around for the best price.
