General question about use of Minoxidil

So I heard I was going bald when I was 17 and was prescribed Minoxidil. It was a fluid and caused massive itching and dandruff across my head so I quit using it.
Now, this year my dermatologist prescribed me Minoxidil again, but this time it as a foam. Although it smells massively, my head doesn't itch so much anymore and no dandruff anymore either.
So, on to the question :p
On the bottle it says 2 puffs 2x a day, but how do I do this? Is it 2 puffs in each area then? Or do I put it on one spot and just rub it all over my head?
I am balding at the crown and at the temples.
Thanks in advance!

What do you mean by a puff? With foam minoxidil the directions I have is "half a capful" of foam. I think the main factors are sides and value for money. Personally when I apply foam minoxidil I apply it to a finger maybe 5 or 6 times total spreading that onto a small area of scalp each time, sometimes cooling my finger down with water (and drying it) in between.

By a puff I mean the amount of foam that comes out with 1 press.
Also, since you use it too, it says use 2x a day. But do you use it in the mornings as well? Because when I put it on my hair it becomes sticky and i DEFFINETELY don't want to leave the house like that

Yes I go around with topicals on, don't really care. I don't have long hair or anything
