General minoxidil questions

Hey, I have been on finasteride 1.25mg and nizoral 2% for one year now but going to add in minoxidil. I want to ONLY use it on my hairline and only at night.

1) Which would work better for applying it to the hairline at my hair length, foam or liquid?

2) If I miss a night application, could putting it on during the next day make up for it?

3) I tend to roll around at night a lot and am scared if I use the liquid minoxidil i will go onto my pillows and roll off my scalp. Is this possible or will the liquid minoxidil absorb through the skin quick even though the application area may appear greasy?

Thanks!

Foam is better for shorter hair. The issue with hair that's a little bit longer is that the foam tends to go into the hair and not on the scalp. The plus is that it dries quick.

Liquid takes a little while to try, is not fun to apply, and is overall messy at times. I do it a few hours before bed for the reasons you're worried about.

I say try both and see what you like. Order Kirkland's brand from eBay/amazon.

Does the foam use propylene glycol. It was my understanding that propylene/alcohol are necessary for absorption.

Not only liquid has this ingredient which is why Bernstein recommends it over foam. The foam still absorbs although apparently not as well as the liquid which has propylene glycol
