General Big 3 Questions

I'm just starting my battle with hair loss(so far only receding temples which have become worse in the last few months) and about 20 days ago I began taking Fincar. Before that I was on saw pal for about 2 months since someone on a acne forum I used to go to told me about it. I've been kind of scared to start using minoxidil and Nizoral just because I don't want everything causing a shed at once. I did buy 5% liquid minoxidil about a month ago which I tried for two nights in a row to see how it was but I stopped using it. The liquid left behind a white "dry skin" looking layer on my temples so I'm not sure if I want to ever use the liquid kind again. I may get the foam and just alternate between the two. Also, after I used it for only two nights I noticed that some of the thick hairs I had left in the spots I applied it were gone. I would think it would take longer but can minoxidil shed hairs in only two applications? Now that I'm on finasteride I would like to start the other treatments but then on the other hand I'm not really sure. I'd like to gradually add in one thing at a time just so I don't have a shed from all the treatments at once or something crazy. Can anyone suggest which treatment I should start next? That question is pretty stupid but I'm just really scared/worried about using all these things. I guess I'm kind of hopeing that finasteride at least stops my hair loss(hopfully my temples don't go to much more by the time finasteride kicks in/if I ever does) and I will be happy enough that I don't have to using a bunch of other things.

if your hair loss isnt too bad yet and you are not concerned with regrowth just use the propecia for 12 months...if you are not satisfied with your hair after 12 months...jump on rogaine FOAM along witht he propecia.

I dont recomment using all the treatments at once...ESPECIALLY if you just starting losing your hair...if you are using 3 or 4 treatments youll never know which is giving you the results and you will have to use them all.

If i were you...id use the propecia and nizoral 2-3x a week. you should be good on that for a few years. good luck

Cool. That's what I thought I should do. I could def use some regrowth on my temples but I've been trying to convince my self that if I can't be happy now with just receding temples then it will be a lot harder down the road even though I am really unhappy with it now but oh well.

Yup. Agree on finasteride+nizoral. I'd use a piroctone olamine shampoo on the otehr days as it seems as effective as nizoral. Shampoos are so easy, why not. And they may slow loss, not just cause regrowth. Plus minoxidil is kind of a mess.

ill be honest regrowth on the temples is not likely...although it has happened.
