Maybe this isn't the right forum or even the right website for this but apparently an FDA panel has approved a form of gene therapy to cure a rare form of blindness. I guess it still needs actuall FDA approval but the panel voted 16-0 in favor of it. Interesting read, as far as how it relates to hair loss I thought the price was the most interesting point. They are saying potentially hundreds of thousands of dollars per eye. The procedure involves injections into the eye.
This seems like a pretty awesome accomplishment and obviously any step forward towards gene therapy for anything is good for potential therapy for hair loss.
I know most people come to this sub forum for news on treatments that are actually working toward hair loss but I figured this would interest some other people as well.
