Gels to use to style without looking Thinner?

Hi guys,

Over the years I have lost alot of hair. But still got enough to last me through the year to not look bald before my wedding!!

Only problem is when I gel my hair, you deffo can see the thinning at the top of the head.

So my question is , which gel is best used to keep hair hair in place, but without making my hair look thinner.

Generally a wax is going to work far better than gel as gel makes your hair wet which = thin look. Plus gels are a bit 1990s anyway

Matte clays are the best in my opinion, hold and texture and some of them are fibrous which makes hair appear thicker too! A little thickening shampoo in the was before makes it easier to style too.

I was flicking through the telly and on one of those ludicrous teleshopping channels they had this product which was for females with thinning hair. It was like gum, you could stretch it out in your fingers, and when applied to the hair it gave these women who were thinning massive 'dynasty' style hair.
it made hair look thicker and less transparent, gave it big volume and it held it in any shape.

I think i will spend my whole life regretting that i didnt write down what this product was.
