Hello,
I am post op day 8 from a FUT procedure. As per my doctor instructions, If I have scabbing/ crusting (which I do), I am to soak my hair for 20 minutes with luke-warm water and then wash/massage it gently for 5-10 minutes and rinse it.
I did that today, and had a lot of white crust, along with hairs that came out. It freaked me out initially.
The scabbing is a little better but still present, so i have to continue repeating it.
MY question, is it ok to soak my head in warm water for 20 minutes. I am basically using a sponge to squeeze water on my recipient area for about 15-20 minutes. I know early on after the surgery, if you rinse with too much water, the grafts can swell and "pop out." is that still a concern? and if they swell and I start shampooing can i destroy them?
