Hi all im from the UK and was interested in hair system.
im 24 and having been suffereing from hair loss from the age og 18. im at the stage where meds wont really make a major difference to my hair. it probably wont even make a minor difference to it.

i really want a full head of hair. and i know the only way to get that is by using a hair system or something.
could anyone advise me on the best solution to get a full head of hair. ive heard of advanced hair studio. any links to sites. that will give me a full heard of hair.

if i had the money id def do that. you can have the long hair short hair thick hair, dont matter. no one will ever know you have one on and it wont come off. every month yo go to replace it with a hair cut.

A wig will ruin your life.

why do you say that? that seems to be the general concensus. but i think that a hair system if they last is okay. im really depressed about my hairloss.

the way i see it is. if you lost a leg. its very difficult to replace that. but with a hair system you can get natural looking results and know one will know your wearing one. touch wood.
we only have one life. do you want to go through that life with hair or no hair? once of the reasons im interested in this. is because i dont look as good without hair.
i really miss my hair, its dented my confidence. i cant even approach a girl. plus i see it this way. the hair system might be temporary. for instance if hair cloning comes about. just see it like your just waiting for hair cloning and this is a temporary measure.

Imagine having to mess with that thing everyday making sure it was on right and comebed correctly.

The cost

The anxiety of knowing people know its fake and everyone is pretending like its real. Everyone can spot one

The anxiety of a stiff wind

The anxiety of telling a girl

I would rather not look as good bald than dealing with that sh-t

Nobody cares that much that your losing hair but you :)

well im not sure what kind of maintenance a hair system needs. ive seen ones that no one can spot. you dont need to tell the girl nothing. the ones that have come out now will last the strongest winds iv been told.

well thats your opinion. i know theres alot of people thinking a hair system is wrong. but if it makes the person wearing one happy. then i dont see a problem with it.

as i said before im thinking of this as a temporary measure. in hope thay make some kind of hair cloning break throughs.

good points of a hair sytem include. having a full head of hair. theres no surgery required. you dont have to take medicine that might cause serious side affects.

Try looking on the hairpeice section of this forum.
Just out of interest how are you going to deal with the transformation of publicly going from balding to full head of hair overnight?
Ps Advanced hair are to be avoided at all costs.

People will say the same things about concealers but I wonder why it's more acceptable to wear Toppik or Dermmatch then it is to wear a hairpiece. Either one can be spotted by running fingers through the hair.

Concealer because it's a hell of a lot easier and cheaper, but is that really the point? Either way, you're deceiving people in a sense. Not that I have a problem with that at all, i'm just pointing out inconsistencies in people who support concealer use but oppose hairpieces.

well the main obstacles are probably some relatives that i have that have seen me balding. but i dont intend to see them again anyway. lol

i dont work or go uni. so hopefully that wont be a problem. im traing to be a police officer. so hopefully i cant get the hair system before i start the job.

i think my main worry is marrying someone. im asian we have arranged marriages. im not sure how im going to get over that obstacle of telling someone that ive got a hair sytem on. or maybe if i could hide it from them?

im a norwood 4 btw. so it hopefully wont be a big shock for everyone if i was slick bald. i think if i can find a sytem that stay on my head rather then taking it off everyday or whatever. i wont have to worry about it.

Who sad its more acceptable?

The general public simply doesn't know about such this as concealers.

No I'm talking about on here, on HairLossTalk.com. Guys who want to wear hairpieces get sh*t but guys are sometimes encouraged to use concealers. What is the difference? They're both deceptive as I said. I just don't get that. I realize that most people off of HairLossTalk.com haven't heard of concealers but I'm not sure what it has to do with it.

Oh, well I don't care about that but I see what your saying. I simply mean hairpieces in the real world.

Concealers are just using a product on your natural hair to enhance what you've got, a wig is taking a foriegn object and sticking it your head to say this hair is my own. You can argue that its the same thing but to me its a huge difference.

not arguing that it's the same thing, only arguing that both products rely on deception. look at the very name "concealer"- it conceals baldness. it's not comparable to a thickening gel or mousse or something like that because that's not the purpose of a thickening gel
