FUE for thin crown

I know it's advised to wait until fully bald until getting an FUE but my thinning crown has worsened and I'm thinking that filling in those gaps wouldn't look worse as I continued to lose hair because it's the crown. I can understand how it would look worse on a hairline as the remaining hair died off but it seems to me that you could add more to the crown every few years.

I just don't want to wait until it's a bald spot and then have everyone wonder how I magically got hair. Anyone think this is a bad idea?

If your front and top is strong, yes, go and do it. Otherwise i would save donor for the front, that's what matters, crown is a "luxury".

Well, so far the front is decent but I feel that I would rather have a receding hairline than a balding crown. Perhaps your right though. I should probably cover it with toppik for awhile besides taking drastic measures.
