Frontal thinning - what to do about it? (already on finasteride)

Ok, my details are on the "tell your story" thread, but here it is basically - I am on finasteride, and seeing success. After almost 6 months, my vertex and crown are thickening. I am happy with this.

However, I am still experiencing noticable frontal thinning. After reading different sites, and many posts here on this forum, I know that I am not alone in this situation. From what I gather, the hair toward the front of the scalp is more sensitive to other factors, such as testosterone. Thus, by reducing DHT with finasteride, and saving your crown/vertex, you may still lose the front.

What can I do about this? I am on minoxidil 5% for my hairline. It is working for me, however, it isn't perfect. Thankfully I am in the 2/3 of guys that minoxidil works for. I want to start using the foam on the front 1/3rd of my head to thicken the whole area, not just the hairline.

Any suggestions otherwise? other topicals, products, etc. I tried revivogen and didn't like it - it was way too greasy, and was clearly clogging pours on my scalp. I know many of you have the same problem - what have you guys done about it?
Cheers.

Get on the Big 3, your'e already on finasteride. So add minoxidil (Rogaine Foam or Spectral DNC) and Revita shampoo.

I did not know that propecia can thin the front out?

is this not just the progression of the male pattern baldness and propecia not working on the front. If propecia does thin the front then merk have a moral responsililty to make this common knowledge, because i for one would sooner have a thick front and thinner back than the other way round.

oh, I forgot to mention that I am also using 2% Nizoral as well - 3 times / week.

Antonion666, I don't think propecia causing frontal thinning directly. I think it simply does not work to protect the front particularly well. I hear that the front hairs are also sensitive to testosterone, which is actually slightly increased by 5AR inhibition by 1mg finasteride. (10% or so - not a huge amount). Therefore, its not that finasteride is responsible for the loss directly, but rather that these hairs aren't being protected. They would be affected by male pattern baldness whether I was on finasteride or not, so I am not blaming the drug for this. There are other threads here that speak to this problem specifically.

Thanks for the feedback guys.
