I know, this question has been asked tenthousand times... but I couldn't find the question and the answer by using the search...

I have been on proscar for 7-9 months or so.... 8 maybe.. can't remember when I began... anyway..

my temples are receeding rapidly now... is that just proscar who is getting rid of old hair and replacing it with new, or is it permanently receeding?

really worried! ;(

I think it's a shed. I went through the same. People even commented that my temples were going. Now it's much better. You will find that it will grow back and hopefully thicker. This will happen many times over with hair that has been attacked with DHT.

If that's is true it would be a great relief.. I am on the same boat here. Nine months on propecia, temples are rapidly going. It particularly strikes me that the vast majority of the hairs that are falling, are very thin and often colourless.

Short, fine, lightly pigmented hairs are usually the result of the miniaturization process that is a part of male pattern baldness. A lot of the time, when you shed a bunch of the small hairs that aren't of much cosmetic benifit, they come back as longer, thicker, darker hairs.

have you shedders noticed any thickening and regrowth in the crown and vertex areas after your 8 months?
