My regimen to date

I had 2 years on finasteride and 5% minoxidil, good results, but not good enough. No side effects, constant shedding (100+ hairs a a day for years, but haven't lost any ground)
Then added 10% minoxidil for my hairline, maybe a slight improvement at the front, nothing major but not the temples.
Then added 15% at the front, maybe a slight improvement at the front, nothing drastic, temples are the same.
Added castor oil (oral) 2 months ago, hair is the same, growing faster, same for facial hair,. shoulders growing fine white hairs now...
One month ago started dutasteride.
Next step is a hair transplant in August, 1200 grafts FUE to reinforce my hairline and close my temple angles.

Want to drop 15% minoxidil, but not sure... It's expensive stuff and Its from minoxidilmax so it's legit, but I have a feeling that the minoxidil isn't staying in solution. Unlike my 5% minoxidil, I always find a dark, opaque substance at the bottom of the bottle, possibly minoxidil crystalizing out of solution. From what I've read elsewhere, it's not possible to dissolve more than 7.5% minoxidil in propylene glycol, and thus once the water and ethanol components evaporate, what's left on your scalp in solution in PG will be at most 7.5%. Based on that, 15% minoxidil or 10% minoxidil is effectively 7.5% solution that will actually penentrate your scalp...

So... thoughts? Any chemistry experts have insight into minoxidil solutions, and whether 15% minoxidil is actually functionally 15% minoxidil

The 5% minoxidil I use on my crown states30% ethanol, 50% propylene glycol, and the rest is purified water.
The dualgen 15% minoxidil I use on my hairline states "major inactive ingredients": ethanol, propylene glycol, water.

This is not paranoid thinking. Because really, we don't know how temperatures or any other environmental conditions are affecting
the solution.

Personally I think you should get a solution from a medical doctor, because at least their will be more accountability, if you
know what I mean.

I'm not worried about the source, to be honest I think MinoxidilMax is as legit as anyone else. What I question is, is it even possible to create a solution in which propylene glycol (the carrier) contains 15% minoxidil?

Because if it's not possible, and the max is about 7.5%, then there's no point in even using 10-15% minoxidil. There may indeed be 15% w/v in the bottle, but if it's less than that in the PG that actually penetrates your scalp, then 5% twice a day would be more effective and much cheaper...
