I have a 26 year old friend who is now getting out of the Army after being in since he was 18. When he joined at 18 he was just beginning to experience male pattern baldness. By the time he was about 24 or 25 he was already completely bald on top...the typical Norwood 7. In fact, he remembers his dad telling him right before he left for basic training that just like himself he would be completely bald by the time he got....his dad was right! Anyway, he is finally getting out and was asking me if I thought he could get his hair back if he started the treatments...propecia, etc. I didn't really have the heart to tell him that personally because of the extent of his hairloss..hes literally slickbald front to back and even somewhat down the back of his head...that no, I don't think he can grow his back. Was I right? When you're completely bald like that it's usually too late, right? I feel bad for him because it's not like he didn't want to the options earlier in his hairloss, it's just in being an infantry soldier...he literally never had the time. What do you guys think?
