Me with another newbie question. I had intended to buy a stock unit, virtually all of which seem to come with freestyle ventilation. Most vendors suggest that freestyle ventilation allows the wearer to experiment with various hairstyles, which I figured was a plus since I used to enjoy changing up my day-to-day hairstyle occasionally. But lately I've come across a couple of articles/comments that say that freestyle units can be difficult to style since there's no particular direction to the hair.
I'm looking to do a really classic/retro side-parted style. Is this achievable with a freestyle stock unit, or should I go for a custom unit with hair that's specifically placed to lay to the side?
