For Those Who Buzz Their Hair

I desperately want to buzz my head to a #1 guard but I'm nervous. The top right side of my head is worse than the left. I'm concerned once I do it you'll drastically be able to see the density difference. Anyone else in the same boat?

Go for it- you'll get a good tan at this time of year. I did it two years ago and found it a lot easier to get used to than I expected. It hasn't made me come to terms with my hair loss totally, but I feel much better with a shaved head than walking around with a wispy head of hair/trying to cover up my loss

if your balding baldy i suggest you go complete skin head.
people underestimate the effectiveness of it.
+ i think its the only style a balding guy can do that girls still find attractive.

I'm not completely bald on the right side it's just thinner than the left. I was hoping the #1 guard would even things out a bit. If anyone else can chime in i'd appreciate it.

I'm of 2 minds (heads?) on this one. On one hand, if I shaved it down, it would be a new look for me and I think people would know (for sure) that I'm balding/bald. On the other hand, I'm sure those who see me regularly know that already so what have i got to lose?

So far I havent buzzed it.

I should just do it but like I said in the post I'm nervous about the right side of my hair. Anyone else experience the same problem?

Seriously man i was so fuckin nervous about it- I wanted to do it for about a year before i actually did, and when I did it I was amazed how little i cared. If your hair is at all wispy I guarantee you'll feel less self conscious if you shave it off.

I've tried it. I quite like a #2 or #3 guard. If I go the whole hog and shave everything off, though, it's a different story.

If I ever get a hair transplant I'm going FUE, just to preserve this option. Also allows you to keep a close trim to conceal the dodgy first 6-8 months.
