For those that used dutasteride or RU, how long were you on finasteride before you switched?

Been on finasteride for 6 1/2 months now, lost hair the entire time. I'm diffuse thinning all over, including my sides. I won't have anything left in 6 months if I continue down this path. When did you abandon finasteride and try more desperate measures? This sucks I was really hopeful this would work but it appears my sensitivity to DHT is too strong

yea i tried dutasteride because of the sides i got on finasteride. dutasteride blocks both kinds of DHT in your body so you have a better chance of maintaining

I thought dutasteride was just a stronger version of finasteride? Don't they do the same thing?
