Go to a good barber and get it shaved grade 3 back and sides and ask them to trim it (not shave) as short as possible on top.
Just had it done and it looks SO much better and disguises the thinning areas almost completely. I'm going to have t done every fortnight - I figure that the extra cost will be worth the hours of each day I would otherwise spend worrying about my hair.
I reckon this will look good on anything less than NW4-5...otherwise just shave it to a shortish grade all over.
