Out of curiousity, if we did not treat our male pattern baldness with any kind of medication, how long do you think it would take us to go completely bald?

I know everyone's male pattern baldness progresses at a different reate but on average, how long do you think it would take?

I haven't seen many men slick bald before they turn 30.

do you think we would last 5, 10 or even 15 years?

Everything from one year to thirty. One guy who was in the same class as me in highschool started receeding about a year after me, and a year later he was a NW4-5.

On the other hand, another guy in the same class started receeding before me, and as far as I know he's gone from NW1 to NW2 in about six years since the signs started appearing.

It's very hard to know. Sometimes things can go very slow, and then speed up for no apparent reason at all - or the other way 'round.

I'd say, on the average, about 8-15 years from the first signs to NW5 without treatment - but that's a very unscientific answer, and someone around surely have statistics.

I reckon 5 years maximum for me. Bro (whos 4 years older) has been taking propecia for 4 years and hes slowly creeping up the norwood scale. So without it maybe he would be a NW5.
Im hoping dutasteride along with minoxidil can give me the edge...

There is no standard anwer to your question. It will be different for everything and the factors you have to put in will not effect the hair loss people the same result. Like when did parents or grandparents loss their hair. How high is your DHT levels and what diet of food you eat. These thing well tell you if you will loss your hair at a general point but it will be off a little or completely off. Which is why when you go to a hair transplant doctor they don't when how fast you will loss your hair nor when it will start.

The best question about it is, does it effect your personal and if so what treatment are you going to use to slow it down or stop it and hopfully regrow some of the hair. I hope people first try FDA approve hair loss products like Propecia or Regaine first before trying snakeoil.
