hey i read this article where this guy said folligen is very bad for u.
http://www.hairsite.com/_disc83/00000029.htm
ive beenb using folligen now and then, do you guys recommend i switch over to tricomin instead. thanks
When you mix copper sulphate with hydrolyzed soy protein there is a chemical reaction that immediately results in the creation of copper peptides.
Btw, I think Folligen now uses Copper II Chloride.
Either way, the guy in the cited post is an idiot IMHO. Just making blanket, uneducated statements.
It would be like warning us that soap has sodium hydroxide (i.e., lye) in it and providing us with info. that lye is VERY bad for the skin, etc.
Of course lye is bad for us. The problem is that there is a chemical reaction when lye is added to water and oils. That reaction changes the structure of lye. IT IS NO LONGER LYE.
Mixing hydrolyzed soy protein with copper sulphate, or copper II chloride, changes copper sulphate, or copper II chloride, to COPPER PEPTIDES. (And copper peptides have been shown to be good for the skin in numerous studies.)
Please don't listen to IDIOTS like that.
Btw Mgoettl, you had a bad reaction initially to Folligen because your scalp was/is in BAD shape. That should have told you immediately that you have to do something to improve your scalp health. Like continuing to use Folligen, diluted, until you could handle it.
